Bailey, Maurice and Maralyn

Second Chance, Voyage to Patagonia

New York: David McKay, 1977.

First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good in a Very Good- dust jacket. 309 pp, bound in red cloth. Illustrated with maps, charts, and b/w photos. Light rubbing to boards, tight binding, no internal markings. Dust soiling to top edge. Dust jacket is clean and priced, but has wear to the top edge and is chipped at the spine ends and one corner of the rear panel. Recounts the authors' return to the sea after the loss of their first yacht and months adrift on a raft in the eastern Pacific (described in their book 117 Days Adrift). On this voyage, they traveled down the east coast of South America and explored the wilderness channels of Patagonia.
