First Edition. Hardcover. 8vo 8" - 9" tall. Very Good in a Very Good dust jacket. Spine tips rubbed, boards show very mild wear. Dust jacket is price-clipped and has some loss (about 1/4 inch) at both ends of the spine; now protected in mylar cover. McCullers' second play, which was not well received by critics, but is today valued for what it reveals about her troubled marriage and her husband's suicide.
