First Edition. Hardcover. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Very Good. 183 pp, with frontispiece and 17 plates, as well as illustrations in the text and pictorial endpapers by Edward A. Poucher. Original brown cloth with mounted pictorial label on front board. Corners and tips rubbed, with board exposed at one corner. Spine lettering rubbed but legible. Binding tight, hinges secure, contents unmarked. Young adult novel based on the true story of a wolf that became the leader of a famous Alaskan sled dog mail team, leading a trip from Nome to Washington D.C. Tourville 771; Smith 1377.
