Corners well bumped, cloth at head and foot of spine chipped, cover illustration somewhat faded. Binding solid, text unmarked. Folding map has a few short tears, but is overall very good. "A comprehensive work for general readers, telling of the history, geography, people, and wildlife, particularly the seal, and (in less detail) the sea otters, sea lions, the morse (or walrus), etc." Arctic Bibliography 4545.
