First Edition. Hardcover. Fair. 11.75 inches. Colored title page, short preface (in French), followed by 50 lovely colored plates of ladies' fashion, each corresponding to one year between 1801 and 1850. Three-quarter leather over marbled boards, but boards and spine detached from text block. Front board warped, with some of the marbled paper gone. All plates present, and all but one in very good or better condition. One plate (#17) detached from text block, with some staining, as well as chipping to the margins. In all, a good copy for reference or to break for the plates. Number 315 of an edition of 600 copies.
