Rates Authorized to Be Charged by the Public Utilities Operating in Rocky Mountain National Park, 1926. Also Rules and Regulations Governing the Use of the Park

Washington DC: Government Printing Office, 1926.

Stapled wraps. Near fine. 6 x 9 inches, 14 pp. Near fine. This booklet provides an interesting record of the government-authorized rates that concessionaires were allowed charge for transportation to and within the park, hotel rooms, campsites, and tours. Lodging rates are listed individually for more than 30 hotels. The introduction advises that "complaints regarding overcharges should be made to the superintendent" and reminds the reader that concessionaires and their employees, though not government employees, should nonetheless be treated courteously. The regulations at the end address the preservation of natural features, maintenance of campgrounds, hunting (not allowed), fishing (only hook and line allowed), cameras (take all the pictures you want!), gambling (don't do it), mining (definitely not), grazing, pets, and operation of motor vehicles.
