Hardcover. Very good in a Fair to Good dust jacket. Third printing. 194 pp + 24 b/w plates. Index, sketch map. Original turquoise cloth stamped in gilt. Corners lightly bumped. Previous owner's name on front endpaper, otherwise unmarked. Dust jacket well worn, with rubbing, chipping, tears. Stark traveled to Brumana via Brindisi, then visited Damascus, where she lived in a native household. From there she traveled "through the wild Jebel Druse country to Transjordania and on to Jerusalem."
