A fine copy in original cloth, in an attractive dust jacket with some tiny chips, lightly sunned spine. "From the diary of Knight, who sailed on the Polar Bear, 1915, later joined the Canadian Arctic Expedition, and accompanied V[ilhjalmur] Stefansson on his journeys of exploration in the northern and western Canadian archipelago, 1917-18" (Arctic Bibliography 11686). Knight died of scurvy on Wrangel Island in 1923, during a failed attempt to establish a settlement there.
