Hardcover. Good. 215 pp + illustrations, in publisher's green cloth stamped in gilt. Ex-library, with no external markings, but many to the front endpapers. Inscribed on front free endpaper from the author to Laura E. Hartge in 1915, and with presentation bookplate from Hartge to the Library of the Medical and Chirurgical Faculty of Maryland (stamped "withdrawn" at the top) on the front pastedown. Also with the label of the Burdy Library Collection at the Huntington Library, with their small withdrawal stamp. Library stamp on back of each plate, otherwise text is clean and sound. No dust jacket. Includes short biographies of about 30 individuals.
