Hardcover. Very good. Bound volume. Three-quarter leather over marbled boards; spine gilt with raised bands. Some scuffing to the leather; internals sound and clean. Includes (among other things) Stephen Crane's "The Veteran" and "The Little Regiment," two poems by Kipling ("The 'eathen," "Cholera Camp"); "A Woman's Ascent of the Matterhorn" by Peck; several articles on Abraham Lincoln by Ida Tarbell; and Elizabeth Stuart Phelps' reminiscences of Harriet Beecher Stowe, Longfellow, Whitter, and Oliver Wendell Holmes. There is also a very interesting illustrated article entitled "The Edge of the Future" regarding horseless carriages and the advent of motor travel.
