Signed by Eliot (without inscription) under his name on the title page. A very near fine copy with just a touch of spotting to the top edge and one small spot of foxing on the front free endpaper. Dust jacket has a few tiny closed tears to the top edge and is lightly toned at the spine. Original price (10s. 6d.) present. First staged at the Edinburgh Festival in 1949, The Cocktail Party was the most successful of Eliot's plays during his lifetime.
