Hardcover. Very good. 7 x 10 inches, pp. [16], 398, [2], [16], 200. Lacking frontispiece, otherwise complete and clean, with occasional minor foxing. Bound in modern half-leather and marbled boards, spine with raised bands, tooled rules, gilt lettering. Ninetheenth century bookplate of H.E. Robinson's Library, Marysville, Missouri, on front pastedown, recording the owner's cost for the book as $2.00 in 1875. ESTC (R23081) notes: "Certain select dialogues of Lucian: together with his true history, translated from the Greek into English. By Mr. Francis Hickes" has separate pagination, register, and title page, with imprint "printed for Richard Davis, ... 1663". It may also have been issued separately (Wing L3425)." The latter title also includes a Life of Lucian by "T.H., Mr. of Arts of Christ-Church in Oxofrd."
