A scarce centennial souvenir produced by the publisher of Godey's Lady's Book, containing 24 steel-engraved plates, the first eight of which show the buildings and grounds of the Centennial International Exposition in Philadelphia. The remainder illustrate historic scenes of a patriotic nature, including the Battles of Concord and Trenton; Fort Duquesne; the Tomb of Washington; Faneuil Hall; and Heroic Women of the Revolution, among others. Each of the patriotic plates is accompanied by explanatory text on the facing page. One copy located in OCLC (NYPL).
