New York: Earle E. Liederman, 1929.
Softcover. Good. 5 x 7-/1/4" stapled half-tone photographic wraps, pp. with half-tone illustrations and/or line drawings on virtually every page; chips at the upper corner of the first two leaves, a bit of scraping and creasing to the wraps, spine neatly reinforced with what appears to be archival hinging tape, overall good or better. One of the earliest American bodybuilders, an associate of Eugen Sandow, and a pioneer in the arena of mail-order self-improvement, Liederman (1886-1970) continues to have adherents to this day. Oddly scarce, in any "edition" (Liederman issued a number of versions, with different covers and varying page counts, throughout the 1920s; OCLC records at most eleven of these, and only one or two of each, and none of this 1929 issue, with "23rd Edition" printed on the upper wrap).
