London: William Paterson, 1884.
Hardcover. Very good. Four-volume set, complete. 6 x 9.5 inches, bound in full brown leather with raised bands and gilt rules on spines, black ribbon bookmarks bound in, satin moire endpapers. "Edition de luxe," limited to 100 sets (of which this is number 82), with a duplicate set of plates printed on Japanese vellum. The illustrations are by prolific French etcher Adolphe Lalauze (1838-1906). Bindings tight, text and illustrations clean on all volumes. Thereis some staining visible on the fore edges of the text blocks and on the endpapers, but the set presents nicely on the shelf.
