St. Paul: Riley Brothers, 1886.

Hardcover. Very good. 5 x 7 inches, 370 pp + 3 pages of ads. Original flexible brown cloth, titled on the cover "Guide to the Northern Pacific Railroad and its Allied Lines. Official Edition, 1886-7." Light rubbing to extremities, a bit of dust soiling, else a fine copy, with a large folding map in a rear pocket (vg, with a few small splits at intersections). Nicely illustrated with engravings. The introduction explains that this book "is based in large part on the Guide Book written by Henry J. Winser, and published in 1883. That work was prepared before the completion of the Northern Pacific Railroad....a larger proportion or the original book has been rewritten in order to make the information desired by tourists and settlers fresh and accurate, and to bring it down to the date of publication of this volume."
