Ruwenzori, An Account of the Expedition of H.R.H. Prince Luigi Amedeo of Savoy, Duke of the Abruzzi

London: Archibald Constable, 1908.

First Edition. Hardcover. Very good-. xvi, 403 pp, with color frontispiece, many illustrations from photographs (some folding), five folding maps, appendices, index. Original red cloth boards, rubbed at the edges and corners, minor damage to cloth at upper spine. Mild spine slant, but binding sound, text unmarked and clean, with almost no foxing. A detailed and beautifully illustrated account of the expedition Filippi led from April to September of 1906 to explore the snow range of Ruwenzori, upon the borders of Congo and Uganda, in the center of Equatorial Africa.
