Los Angeles: Ward Ritchie Press, 1957.
Hardcover. Fine in a Very Good dust jacket. xiii, 165 pp + b/w illustrations from photographs, with references, index, map endpapers. Fine. Dust jacket has some rubbing, chipping; spine a bit faded but easily legible. As explained on the jacket, "The mammoth Tejon Ranch north of Los Angeles in the Tehachapis is still largely undisturbed, though much California history has touched its land ... Eventually all the ranchos were consolidated by Edward F. Beale into present-day El Tejon. While this book is primarily the history of El Tejon Rancho from Indian days to the present, the author strays afield because of the later-day Chandler-Sherman interest in the ranch to record for the first time their adventures in empire building in Baja California."
