Softcover. Very good. Title (from cover) continues: "These Two Finely Bred Trotting Stallions Will Make the Season of 1884, ending July 1st, at the Stable of Wm. McDougall, Prop'r, Tunbridge, VT. 4" x 6.5, 8 pp, in original orange printed wrappers. Minor soiling to back cover, light handling wear; very good. Not illustrated. Provides the pedigree for the two stallions (who are full brothers), a description of each, terms ($30 for Justin and $15 for Vampire, "payable when the mare proves with foal"), and details of the fine qualities of foals they have already sired. A section titled "Remarks," informs us that "In these horses are combined the blood of all the Morgans, branching out into the Black Hawks and Ethan Ellens, the Abdallahs, which is regarded as the foundation of all the trotting stallions in this country, the 20 mile-an-hour Trustee, the Messengers, and the same blood that made Gen. Knox, and nearly every fast horse in the State of Maine and Vermont."
