Battle Creek, MI: Eureka Loom Co., 1891.
Softcover. Good+. Trade catalogue, 3.5" x 6", 44 pp, illustrated. Wrappers are moderately soiled and have old tape repairs to the spine; contents very good. The Eureka Hand Carpet Loom was intended for use by weavers of carpets, rugs, curtains, and other large items. According to the text it was designed based on discussions with weavers about their needs and extensive study of a range of existing looms. The superior features of the Eureka loom are described in detail, and many testimonials are provided. Also offered in this catalogue are the new Eureka Warp Measuring Machine, spinning wheels, shuttles, spools, bobbins, and and other weavers' supplies. A fully fitted loom paid in cash cost $37.00. Also included here are shipping, payment, and credit information, a suggestion for "a novel way of putting the warp on the beam all at once," and "a few choice recipes for coloring warp and carpet rags."
