Bound in original red cloth with gilt top edges, with a total of 11 plates and 5 maps (one folding). Very slight bump to lower corner of Volume LVII, else a fine, unopened set. Begun in 1799, Henry's journal is one of the best records from the early nineteenth century of the fur trade in the vast area from Lake Superior to the mouth of the Columbia River, as well as the most detailed printed primary source account of a fur trader in this region.
