Very good. 10" x 7.5", 194 pp, in gilt-decorated pale blue cloth, with top edge gilt, illustrated endpapers, 16 tipped-in color plates with captioned tissue guards, and additional b/w illustrattions and decorative head and tailpieces in the text. A very good copy with mild rubbing to extremities and light foxing to fore edge of text block and front flyleaf. Harrison (1877-1955) was a prolific and highly regarded Scottish artist whose pre-Raphaelite style offered a perfect complement to the work of many poets of the late nineteenth century, including Morris, Tennyson, and Christina Rossetti. This volume includes the poems "The Defence of Guenevere," "King Arthur's Tomb," "Sir Peter Harpdon's End," and "Rapunzel," among others.
