"The story, romance and adventures of a life on the plains with the varied experiences as cow-boy, stock owner, rancher, &c. &c." Adams (Herd 1819) says "This is probably the second book written about the cowboy and evidently made the publishers some money, although they were unscrupulous about authorship" (the book was attributed in different editions to Post, Bender, and Phil Johnson).
