First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good. 106 pp, with 16 illustrations from photographs, but lacking the folding map. Brown cloth with letting and mountain image stamped in gilt. Corners rubbed, rear board scuffed. Binding tight and square; last 30 pp a bit rippled. Signed by the author under his name on the title page. Fryxell was a geologist and climber who made many first ascents, as well as the first official Naturalist of Grand Teton National Park. This was the first book on technical climbing in the Tetons and remained the sole guidebook for many years. Neate F78.
