The authors traveled extensively by horseback in the Park's backcountry before writing first full-length guide to Glacier (which became a National Park in 1910), with information on lodging, trails and roads, lakes and glaciers, wildlflowers, and local Blackfoot history and lore. There is also a rather amusing chapter on "Types of Tourists."
