Light wear/mottling to boards, else fine. Inscribed on the front flyleaf "Hon. Joseph N. Dolph, U.S. Senate. With the Compliments of the Author." Hornaday, an important naturalist and zoological collector, was abstemious in behavior and wrote this book against the sale of rum to African natives on behalf of the temperance cause.
