Original blue cloth stamped in gilt, top edge gilt. Very mild spine slant, rubbing to extremities; internals clean and sound. Lady Brassey was a skilled photographer and botanist and also had an interest in medicine. She and her husband (a Member of Parliament and accomplished sailor) traveled extensively on their yacht "Sunbeam," and Annie's lively books about their adventures found an eager audience. This book, published after she died of malaria at age 48, recounts travels in India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Australia.
