Beautifully designed folding tariff card for the Arundel Hotel located on Victoria Embankment in London. 9.5 x 12 cm (ca. 3.5" x 4.5"), printed in a deep brown ink on pale blue cardstock with decorative gilt borders. The first page lists charges for rooms on each floor, with and without full board and attendance, with separate charges for lights, fires, and baths. The second page gives charges for breakfast, lunch, tea, and supper, with charges varying depending on the selection of hot or cold food, meat or poultry, etc. On the back, guests are advised of the need to provide a day's notice before departure and to deposit valuables at the hotel office, and nearby attractions are noted. The Arundel Hotel was built in 1882 and (according to a contemporary advertisement) catered to professional and military men and American families.
