Issued as a New Year's premium for subscribers to the children's magazine Le Conseiller des Enfants, this charming book offers descriptions of eight children's games, each accompanied by a full-page illustration. The games are: Le Chat, Le Furet, Le Diable Boiteux, Les Casse-Tetes, Le Cache-Cache, Cache Tampon, Le Jeu des Couleurs, and Le Berger. OCLC identifies "Bertrand" as Noel Francis Bertrand (1784-1854). Gumuchian 4312 noted that the plates are "reproduced by a new electroplating process give a special interest to this publication."
