Promotes "new lands at low prices" in a region with "a temperate climate wityh long growing seasons, unusually fertile soils, and proximity to large consuming markets." The text describes the common crops and yields in several "sections" served by the railroad: Southeast Missouri; White River Country; Eastern Colorado and Western Kansas; Western Arkansas; Crowley's Ridge; the West Side Delta; and Southwest Louisiana.
