Sheet music, 3 pp, disbound from a larger volume, with a very nice cover lithograph illustration of a military exercise and encampment on Boston Common, with the Old Elm at left. Corners chipped, but still an attractive example. Schmidt composed several other marches, including The Tippecanoe or Log Cabin Quick Step (1840, dedicated to William Henry Harrison) and the Sears Quick Step (1845, dedicated to "Col. David Sears and the Officers & Members of the Boston Independent Company of Cadets").
