Collection of Sales Materials for Scribner's Dictionary of the Bible & Related Publications, ca. 1900-1905

Seven (7) items related to the marketing and sale of Bible-related publications from Scribner's. Includes:  Two different 4-page prospectuses--one from the publisher's New York office and one from San Francisco--for A Dictionary of the Bible, Dealing with its Language Literature, and Contents, edited by James Hastings (4 imperial octavo volumes, sold by subscription, offered in cloth or half-morocco); a 4-page prospectus for a new "Extra Volume" of the same dictionary; a 4-page prospectus for the Dictionary with the Extra Volume (i.e., now a five-volume set); a subscription form for the Dictionary; an 8-page prospectus for The Historical Series for Bible Students edited by Charles Foster Kent and Frank Knight Saunders (eight volumes published to date, available by subscription for $1.00 a month); and an  8-page prospectus for The Student's Old Testament, Logically and Chronologically Arranged and Translated by Charles Foster Kent ("a work within reach of all classes of bookbuyers," six volumes in cloth, available to advance subscribers for $13.50, payable in installments).  All but one item in very good condition; one prospectus splitting along a horizontal fold. .
