Four items promoting mens clothing from Sears, Roebuck's Custom Tailoring Department: 1) Style Book of Men's Fashions, 1903 (stapled booklet, 6.25" x 3.25", 24 pp, all illustrations of men's suits and overcoats); Sample Book No. 61V: Men's Custom Tailoring, Spring and Summer, 1903 (stapled booklet, 7.75" x 5", 17 pp, containing 3 pages of fashion illustrations and 61 fabric mounted fabric swatches; 3) 1.5 page circular letter on Sears, Roebeck letterhead with text promising the most current styles and very best fabrics at the lowest possible price, along with a customer satisfaction guarantee; 4) unused double-sided order form with payment and shipment information and instructions for taking measurements for various garments. The sample book includes a three-page list of all the sample books the company issued, as well as price lists and details on linings and trimmings. Both booklets have rusted staples and at least one gathering detached, sample book has some staining from the glue used to attach the swathes, otherwise very good condition.
