Softcover. Very good. This German-language quarterly was published beginning in 1911 and was intended for American students studying German in secondary schools and colleges. The content was generally about current events and culture in Germany and was intended to be non-political, but this grouping may be particularly interesting since it covers the lead-up to and beginning of the War, as anti-German sentiment was strengthening in the U.S. (and just before many schools began to ban German instruction altogether). This lot includes the following issues: December 1912; February, October, and December 1913; February, April, October, and December, 1914. A few have small chips at edges or splits at the spine, but overall condition is very good. Issues measure 8.75" x 5.5" and are each 36 pp, including illustrations and ads.
