Louis Waldman (1892-1982) was "a leading figure in the Socialist Party of America from the late 1910s and through the middle 1930s, a founding member of the Social Democratic Federation, and a prominent New York labor lawyer" (wiki). This autobiography offers, according to the dust jacket, "an insider's view of labor and socialist affairs by one who played a leading role in their making," with Waldman's life mirroring "the growth, development, and ideological conflicts of American Labor and third-party political life."
