According to the introduction, "this pamphlet is prepared to give the fullest information possible about Phonography, outside the mastering of the art; its uses, value, how it may be learned, and what this school is doing. Many questions are answered in regard to time required to learn, the pay commanded by stenographers, the cost of board, &c., &c.... This school is the oldest established and best known to the business community of the Northwest." Includes testimonials and list of graduates and their places of employment. The school was established in 1884 and located at 522 Nicollet Avenue in Minneapolis.
