Hardcover. Very good in a good dust jacket. Early printing of the first trade edition, with $2.75 price on dust jacket flap, 1944 date on title page, and wartime statement on copyright page. Corners and spine ends rubbed, with slight discoloration to lower corner of front board. Binding tight, text clean. Dust jacket is missing a large chip from the head of the spine and has some smaller chips and tears. In a new mylar cover.
