Corners bumped, boards rubbed, occasional light foxing, but generally clean and sound, with a contemporary owner's signature on the front flyleaf and later owner's signature (dated 1937) on front pastedown. Discusses the religious history of individual Maine towns and counties as well as offering a survey by denomination (Episcopalians, Roman Catholics, German Lutherans, Calvinistic Baptists, Quakers, Presbyterians, Freewill Baptists, Methodists).
