Fine copy in a clear mylar cover, with errata slip laid in. Sir James Douglas was a Canadian fur trader and politician who became the first Governor of the Colony of British Columbia. He traveled to California in the employ of the Hudson's Bay Company to get permission from the Mexican governor to create a trading post in Yerba Buena (modern San Francisco).
