A very near fine copy with just a touch of rubbing to the pictorial boards, previous owner's name on front free endpaper. In (most of) the rare original dust jacket, which has a complete front panel but large chips at spein ends and a sizeable section missing from the rear panel -- still quite presentable in a new mylar cover. Classic survey of the lake's origin and formation, early human history, and flora and fauna of the region.
