"Sir Thomas Culpeper , 1626-1697" written in ink in a modern hand on title page. Boards show some uneven discoloration and staining, binding tight, text clean, but LACKING leaf A2 (pp 1-2). The author wrote several tracts against usury as well as this book of essays on subjects such as nature, religion, providence, time, friendship, fame, miracles, courts and princes, knowledge and reading, etc.
