Album Containing 12 Prints of Gosho Ningyo (Japanese Palace Dolls)
Hardcover. Near fine. 11.75" x 9.5" accordion-fold album with 12 color woodblock prints mounted to thick cardstock leaves (one side only), each measuring 8.25" x 7" and signed by the artist, who we have not identified. Each print shows one or two Gosho Ningyo -- traditional Japanese dolls often gifted by the Emperor to dignitaries that feature chubby, white-skinned figures with large heads and small limbs and symbolize health, good luck, and prosperity. Album appears to have had a bookplate removed from front pastedown, else fine.
